Many Christians will look at church as something optional. They will see Jesus as only personal and that’s it. It is true you should have a personal relationship with Jesus, and Philippians 2:12 says “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling” but, the Bible also says in Hebrews 10:25 “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”. What does this mean? It means to have a personal walk with God but, to also understand a Church isn’t just a building but a place for the body of Christ to come together. It’s a place where the people of God come together to help each other in our own personal walks with God. We are the body of Jesus, we are fit jointly together, each person with their own personal walk but, all with the same goal, to do the will of God.
